“My father was a man of love. He always loved me to death. He worked hard in the fields, but my father never hit me. Never. I don't ever remember a really cross, unkind word from my father.” Johnny Cash

I have decided that by May 10th, 2013 I will have my first (and probably only) tattoo. That will mark 5 years since my Dad passed away. I've been wanting to get a tattoo in his honor, but I have never been able to come up with something that would represent all of him. The best I could do was "Roll On" (which will be part of my tattoo), but the rest is missing. I have to work on it., and thankfully I have time.

I made an appointment with an ENT (Dr. ENT - wouldn't it be funny if Dr. ENT is really tall, and skinny? Then I could cal him Dr. Ent.) for next month. I have a horrible sinus headache today, and I am looking forward to this doctor visit.

My visit with Dr. Pulm, was alright. He wants me to do a PFT in a month, and go from there. I have to pick up my inhaler tonight, and start using it as prescribed (I forget to use it half of the time).

I'm trying to get myself in the habit of taking my vitamins. It became overwhelming to take my vitamins with my prescriptions, so I decided to take my 'scripts with breakfast and my vitamins with lunch. Yesterday was the first day - we'll see how it goes. I'm also trying to give up caffeine. Yesterday was a big fat fail in that regard, and today I've had a can of Dr. Pepper, but I'm going to limit myself to that and drink my Caffeine Free Coke with lunch.

Next week Sawyer & I are starting our diet and exercise program again. I want to lose weight before our trip North this summer, and I need to start exercising to help my asthma as well. We'll see how it goes. I'm going to start linking to my  Weight Loss page whenever I update on my journey. Wish me luck!

Last night Sawyer & I had Mrs. T's Sweet Potato Pierogies for dinner (with steamed Lima Beans _yum_). They were meh - I liked the filling, but it didn't really mesh well with the outside dough. I guess we're Pierogi Traditionalists. (The Potato, Sour Cream and Chive ones look good! Mrs. T's if you're reading this please feel free to contact me about trying those!)

  1. Thanks for providing your links..the Dr. ent was especially informative, and funny.

I am looking forward to seeing your tattoo design.

I agree with needing the weight loss thing, I still haven't gotten on a set enough schedule to things started..hopefully within the next month or so.

The PFT sounds interesting....from the link you gave, it looks like it will be in a phone booth type thing? Hopefully the results are positive

    1. Yeah - the PFT is done in a phone booth thing, which isn't as bad as it sounds.
I swore I failed last time, but he said it looked good, and was consistent with Asthma. We shall see. I know it hasn't gotten better, but I hope that he can help me find something that works better.
