A very good work friend's mom is dying. I believe she had breast cancer, and then all the radiation, and chemotherapy that follows - unfortunately it didn't help enough, and it looks like the end is getting near. I don't know what to do for her (and her family, of course). I'm absolutely crushed for them. I just wish there was something I could do. All I can think of is to send good thoughts their way, and to ask friends to do the same.

Also - a little girl I read about online passed away yesterday. The poor little thing had been fighting so hard for so long, and just had her 8th birthday a few weeks ago. Absolutely heartbreaking.
