“On a large enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.” ~Chuck Palahniuk

Christmas was nice. We found out that R & K are having a baby in July! K is due on 7/29, so I'm hoping that their baby comes a few days early so we can share a birthday. My Mother-in-Law was feeling really good for Christmas, which is amazing. The holiday itself was pretty relaxing, even though I had to spend some time with family members whose company I do not enjoy. I can sum up the holidays with two words - I survived.

Sawyer had a HIDA Scan the day after Christmas, and a Gastric Emptying Study earlier this week. He'd been having the same symptoms he had over the summer, and so his doctor ordered these tests. It may sound crazy, but I hope they find something. Nothing serious - of course - but something. An explanation of what's causing his symptoms would be nice.

New Years was nice. We don't do anything to celebrate on New Years Eve. New Years Day we went to see the last Hobbit movie. I cried. We used to watch The Winter Classic (NHL), and this year would have been a good year to watch - the Caps played the Black-hawks at National's Stadium (the Caps won! YAY!)

So far 2015 is a complete suck. I have two very dear friends that are going through tough times, we still have no answers for Sawyers mystery stomach issues, Sawyer is traveling to California later this month for training, and so on. I wish things would be easy (or at least easier) this year. Hopefully, we'll get to go on vacation this year. I _AM_ grateful that (at this point) nobody is horrifically sick (my Mother-in-Law is doing really well!), and that there are good things on the horizon.
