Friday Four - August 14, 2015

Friday Four
A collection of 4 things that have been on my mind.

1.) The Music of John Williams at Wolf Trap
Sawyer's parents came down on Saturday and we went to Wolf Trap to see the National Symphony Orchestra play the music of John Williams. They played the Jaws theme, songs from Harry Potter, and, of course, Star Wars. At one point, Darth Vader, Luke, Leia, Storm Troopers, and more, came up on the stage. The conductor gave Darth Vader his baton and Darth conducted the orchestra! It was a hoot - despite my possible anxiety attack when we arrived.

(I did not take this picture - I found it on Google Images - if this is your picture, and you'd like me to remove it - please let me know!)

2.) Double Vision
I see the Ophthalmologist on Monday. Sawyer will have to come along because they'll be dilating my eyes. I really hope that he finds something because I can't take these vision issues much longer.
I've been doing a big of Dr. Google research, and based off of my symptoms, I'm thinking that MS is a possibility. Older Sister has it, and even my off the wall symptoms (unexplained chest pain, and tremors in my left hand) fit. It's a horrible diagnosis, and not one that anyone should hope for, but, honestly, I'd rather have a concrete diagnosis and a plan of action then keep living like this. I'm going to leave it to my doctors to diagnose me though - I'm _not_ a doctor, and Dr. Google isn't the most reliable. Also, it can take _YEARS_ to diagnose MS correctly.

3.) FiveStar Flex Binders
I _LOVE_ office / school supplies and I _REALLY_ want one of these! I'd love to have it for vacation planning. The problem is that I just bought new vacation planning organization earlier this year. I may try to wheedle Sawyer into letting me get one though. It's worth a shot. _smirk_

4.) John Muir
I started The Yosemite earlier this week. John Muir is on the list of "dead people I'd like to have dinner with". His quote "The mountains are calling and I must go." is one of my favorites. That's sort of how I feel about our upcoming vacation (have I mentioned that enough yet?) - big things are calling and we _must_ go. We've both been waiting years to get out to Sequoia / Yosemite, and it's time we go.
