Friday Four
A collection of 4 things that have been on my mind lately.
1) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I have an appointment today at 10:30am with a sleep specialist. I'm still chasing the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome unicorn. My Primary Care doctor (Dr. A) said having an actual diagnosis doesn't matter because I have all the symptoms, and we've run all the tests they'd run to see if it's something else. I use my CPAP every night for my sleep apnea, we tested my Vitamin D, & I've tried a number of medications that haven't helped at all. I'll see what Dr. Sleep has to say. My insurance requires I see her before they'll let me have the medication Dr. A recommended (I can't find the paper that Dr. A wrote it down on).
2.) ADHD
I didn't blog about it, but I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2022 (I have combined type). I had testing done and at one point I had to make shapes out of blocks. I got so frustrated that I wanted to throw the blocks, but I digress. I've been taking Vyvanse for awhile now, and all of a sudden I got a letter from my insurance that they want me to take Lisdexamfetamine now because it's cheaper. My doctor (Dr. Psych) hasn't called it in yet, and I'm about out of the Vyvanse. I hate dealing with insurance & doctor offices.
3.) Tattoos
Since my last post, I've gotten 3 tattoos. A memorial piece for my Dad on the 15th anniversary of his death, a quote I love in Sister C's handwriting, & a small memorial piece for The Dude. (We put The Dude to sleep on April 10th, 2023 after his health went downhill quickly.)
4.) Older Sister A
I've met up with Older Sister A a few times now! (It was on my bucket list. _lol_) We met for the first around Christmas in 2023 after chatting via text for a while. She's so sweet and kind, and I'm so grateful that she reached out to me via Facebook. We still text occasionally, and we meet up at McDonald's and have nuggets together while we chat. It's really nice.
