Blueberry Tart - Recipe

Blueberry Tart

Ingredients

Dough:
3/4 stick of butter
1 cup flour (+ / -)
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling:
2 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons corn starch 


Cooking directions:

1.) Preheat oven to 350*.

2.) For the dough - use a fork to blend the ingredients into a course corn / cracker meal. Press into an 8 inch spring form pan - 1 inch up the side of the pan.

3.) Mix the ingredients for the filling together and pour into the shell. 

4.) Bake at 350* for about an hour. 

Serves 6.

Notes:
* I served this with vanilla ice cream that was made in my ice cream ball when we visited Cherry Springs with Sawyer's family.
* Keep an eye on this while it's in the oven because the shell goes from "almost there" to "burnt" quickly.
