Friday Four
A collection of 4 things that have been on my mind lately.
1.) Internal Thoughts
Why am I so mean to myself all the time? I'm a decent person, fairly smart, funny and kind so why do I treat myself like the scum of the Earth? Being aware of yourself is weird and hard.
2.) Birds & Family
There was a cardinal flying around in the warehouse. TWICE it has cheeped at me and then flown away. I wonder what my Dad has to say. He always "shows me" cardinals when I need him. He showed me a cardinal when we took our families to see where we were getting married - it was like he was approving it too. It's weird, and I don't normally believe in signs or the afterlife, but for some reason cardinals make me believe. I've been missing my dad a lot lately, and I found some pictures of him when he was young. There is a bird flying around in the warehouse. TWICE it has cheeped at me and then flown away. I can't tell if it's a cardinal or not, but if it is I wonder what my Dad has to say. Maybe it's him saying "about damn time" (I've had access to the photo albums for years, but never looked at them.)
3.) Christmas
So...we're gearing up for Christmas. Still not in the mood. I just want it all to be over. Hopefully things will go smoothly, but I'm not holding my breath. Saturday (December 26th) we'll be heading up to The Keystone State to visit both sides of the family. Our first stop is at Big Brother / Mom's house. Then, we'll be heading to Sawyer's parents' house to see his parents & sister (and her family - of course). I'm looking forward to this because we got K & D some fun stuff.
4.) Star Wars
I'm both excited for the new Star Wars movie, but I'm also nervous. There has been so much hype that I'm afraid that it won't live up to it. Sawyer & I will probably go see it in theaters, but we'll wait awhile until everyone else has seen it a million times.
