Friday Four
A collection of 4 things that have been on my mind lately.
1.) Resolutions
I made a list of Resolutions again. I did ok in 2015, but I'm hoping to be much more with it, and feeling better in 2016. I'm also working on my 101 in 1001. Our house needs work, and - hopefully - 2016 is the year we get a lot of work done inside. We've nearly finished all of the big stuff outside.
2.) Feed the birds
I hope to get back into the habit of feeding the birds in our yard. We brought in the hummingbird feeders, but the tube feeders are still out. They need to be deep cleaned (find out how .:here:.). We should also clean the thistle feeders. The squirrel feeder has probably be empty for months now. (Yes, I feed the squirrels - we work so hard to keep them off of the tube feeders that it only seems fair to feed them too.)
3.) Work
I need a break. Seriously. I want to slap the face off of the other Customer Service Rep. She keeps questioning my decisions - even though I've been here for 8 YEARS and know what I'm doing. If I didn't, I think they would have fired me a long time ago. Also, she doesn't EVER work a full week! For example - she left at 1PM on Monday, left at 3PM on Tuesday and took Wednesday off! What the ACTUAL fuck?!
4.) Etsy
Last week I said that I wanted to talk about some Etsy shops I shopped at this Christmas season. I got Sawyer .:this:. cuttlefish ornament from Dellamorteco. Sawyer loves it! He's loved cuttlefish for years now, and I like to get him an ornament every year, so when I saw this one I knew it was meant to be. We saw cuttlefish at the Academy of Sciences while on vacation, so I knew this was the perfect year for a cuttlefish ornament. The ornament looks amazing - like it's made of metal (it's made of resin). It's a great weight to hang on the tree, and it looks pretty cool on our red, white, silver & black Christmas tree.
Since sending Molly to the American Girl Doll Hospital, I've wanted to get some of her (authentic) clothes. When I found GrandmasToyShoppe, I was in heaven. I bought 3 outfits from her. They arrived in perfect condition, and she even took extra packaging and time to make sure that the birthday crown and the Miss Victory crown wouldn't get crushed in transit! I'll definitely be back for more of Molly's outfits when I have some money again (and when she's back from the Doll Hospital).
I already bought a planner / organizer for 2016, but when I saw .:this:. Divination Planner (Hufflepuff edition) from Ruskerville I *KNEW* I had to have it! I LOVE it! The quality is so nice, the pages are awesome, and each month has a quote from Harry Potter on it. I think I'll probably be getting these every year for the rest of my life. _smirk_
I also bought .:these:. (I bought the set of 4) and .:this:. to hang up for Christmas. We didn't decorate much this year, but they will be perfect next year when we *do* go crazy decorating. Both shops were easy to work with (I had a small issue with the "Nuthouse Print" and the shop's owner fixed the issue immediately after I messaged her!). Also, the envelopes that came with the greeting cards were really neat Kraft paper, and super thick!
