"Insist on yourself; never imitate." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

This week has not started off so good. Our cats, Dude and Princess, got out today. They are strictly indoor cats unless we put on their leash & harness. The Hubs woke me up asking for help. V was smart - he went outside & got a bit of tree bark and brought it back inside. When The Hubs tried to figure out where V got it from V took a walk outside to show The Hubs exactly where he found it. K was another story. As soon as her furry feet hit the deck she was gone. The Hubs told me to look around the inside of the house while he checked the outside. I checked all the obvious spots and she wasn't anywhere to be found so I went out the front door in all my "just-woke-up" glory (PJ's, no shoes/socks, dirty bed head and glasses) and started yelling for her. As soon as her name left my mouth she started her pitiful cries. When I told her to "Get over here" she came running & hid under a shrub until I opened the front door. I decided I'd better update their microchips & tags. We don't make them wear their collars & tags, but it's best to keep them updated anyway. The Hubs kept saying (to K mostly) "You could have been eaten by a hawk!". Now, because of that I found out their rabies shots are due to expire next month so they get to make a trip to the vet's office. I LOVE our vets office. They are great!

Saturday morning was quite exciting too! The Hubs woke me up to say there were cows in our yard. We do live near farms but not in our surrounding neighborhood. We live on a cul de sac and have neighbors behind us as well. What I'm trying to say is that this isn't a common occurrence. They must have traveled a bit because when we left to run errands later we didnt' pass any farms for quite some time! Luckily they just grazed and moved on rather quickly. It's still a fun story to tell.

Also on Saturday we got a notice of a certified letter waiting for us at the Post Office from our former landlord. We're hoping that it's our security deposit and that it's the full amount but she was kind of a b so we're not expecting it. If it is the full amount though The Hubs said we can get some new bedroom furniture! :) He did some fiddling around online and said that he asked them to deliver it today, so we shall see.

Today it's back to work & it's just more of the same here. My boss is pissing me off again. She's always asking me to do stupid stuff that she can/should do herself. It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't have to walk past the thing she needs to do to give it to me. For example... she'll walk to my office - past the fax machine - and ask me to fax PERSONAL stuff for her. WTF?! She's such an idiot sometimes and I'm getting tired of it. I may call out sick tomorrow. (I say that but I know full well that I won't.)

The quote for this order is something I'm trying to get back to. I've been in a funk for the past ... well ... a long time and I'm trying to break out of it. I'm fairly sure that by taking my vitamins I'm getting back to myself. I'm tired of living in jeans & band tshirts (even for work - it's allowed). I want to get back to skinny jeans and heels, and my big platform Dr. Marten looking boots. It's going to take some work, but I'm ready for it. :)
