"Humor is always based on a modicum of truth. Have you ever heard a joke about a father-in-law?" Dick Clark

I have to vent here a bit or my head will explode!

J's Grandfather (on his Dad's side) passed away last Saturday. This past Friday was his viewing/funeral. Why did it wait a week? Because J's cousin Drew had a test in college & he couldn't miss it. (Bullshit!) It's so frustrating because everything revolves around his Aunt D's family. They are the biggest bunch of hypocritial liars I've ever met! On Friday all his cousin Danielle was doing was BITCHING about having to find a sub (she's a first grade teacher). Your GRANDFATHER DIED and you're inconvenienced? WTF?! I'm sure Pa would love to hear how inconvenient his death was to you! I had to leave when J's other cousin Jacqueline started crying about how she has a seat for him at her wedding and now what is she supposed to do?! WTF!?! I got so mad because she still has her Dad. She doesn't have to wonder what the best way to memorialize her FATHER is! UGH!!! On top of that, the whiny bitch was attention limping all day. (You may think I'm exaggerating, but I know them well enough to see when they're acting.)

Jacqueline also handed out wedding invitations the night before Pa's funeral. How rude is that?! Also, she was too cheap to put stamps on the RSVP envelope. Guess who's not RSVPing!

This part of J's family drives me bonkers and I'll be happy if I can avoid spending time with them for the rest of my life. *sigh*

(Oh & about the quote - for the most part my MIL is fabulous!)

  1. wow....I do not have words. I am very thankful my in laws (at least the ones I know) are awesome. Sometimes, I like them better than my own family. I'm glad you <3 your MIL though, that's always important.
