I really need to start planning our vacation this summer. I know the general time we can go (end of August/beginning of September) but until I get my passport I don't feel comfortable nailing down an "official" time frame. I also need to decide where we want to go. Sawyer only asked that we go to the Lee Valley store (in Toronto), and find a "state" park to go for a hike. Other than that, I guess it's up to me. I don't feel like planning a trip AT ALL, but I guess if I want to take vacation I have to plan it.
I'm also thinking about our trip with Sawyer's family in the spring. I'm still dreading it. I have quickly lost patience with Sawyer's sister. She's always going on about (or implying) that her & her husband are so broke but yet they go away all the time! Sawyer and I are lucky that we get away once a year (which is fine with me!), but we never go away for the weekend for no real reason (going to the Keystone State doesn't count - they stay in hotels we never do). We don't even stay in hotels for vacation! (This year will be the first time we have ever stayed in a hotel that wasn't for an out of town wedding!) I really don't mind - camping is much cheaper than staying in a hotel, and a lot more fun. Anyway - it's gotten old, and I'm tired of her. I like getting away for a weekend, but these "family" things are wearing me out (and this will only be the second trip!). These things are also annoying because it means boarding the Dude and the Princess. (Which ain't cheap!) This summer, for our long vacation, Sawyer's parents may watch the Dude and the Princess, but I'm not sure if they will. Every time we talk about a vacation I'm reminded of the time my Mother-in-Law told me to get a part-time job so we could afford a big trip! A.) I don't have time for a part-time job, B.) I don't want a part time job, C.) Brother-in-Law's part-time job was something he could do at home - not an option for me, D.) I have no need for a big trip this year (think Alaska), E.) I'm not ready for a big trip, and F.) Don't tell me what to do!! We're saving up for a big trip to Montana, Sawyer & I are both fine with the rate we're saving, and we'll have the money when we're ready to go. We're in NO RUSH to take big trips - there is a lot of local stuff (within reasonable driving distance) that we haven't seen yet. We'll save the "big trips" (vacations that require hotels, airfare, car rentals, etc.) for when we have more disposable income, and when we're older. I'm in no rush to see most of my "bucket list" items - the ones that are melting (glaciers in Glacier National Park) have been appropriately moved to the top of the list.
I think I'm just tired of people in general. Maybe I'm just sick of family. I'm hoping that Sawyer & I can stay home (in The Old Line State) for Easter. I don't know. I'm tired, and grumpy, and I just want to be left alone for the most part. I think it comes down to being sick of being compared, and antagonized about the way Sawyer & I live our lives.

I just watched Rosemary's Baby, and now I'm watching The Omen. Rosemary's Baby was pretty good - very creepy. Mia Farrow played her role very well (and I loved her short hair!). The boy that plays Damien in The Omen is perfect for the part - he's got creepy eyes! I wasn't expecting the ending of The Omen!
Sawyer & I bought Wreck-It Ralph when it came out last week. I _LOVE_ Disney movies! Neither of us were sure about this one, but now that we've watched it again I think it's safe to say that we like it a lot. I think Monsters Inc. 2 is the next Disney movie coming out, and I'm not interested in that one at all.
I really want to buy The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey when it comes out (March 19th!) but I've heard that there is an extended edition coming out around Christmas, so I sort of want to wait for that. Sawyer & I are undecided. When Lord of the Rings came out (eons ago!) one of us would buy the "regular" version, and the other would buy the extended edition - then we'd each have the entire set. Of course, that was before we moved in together so now it seems silly to buy each movie twice. (I can't find any confirmation of if/when an extended edition will be released - that might help push us to buying the "regular" version.)
I'd like to go to the movies this weekend - maybe we'll see Oz the Great and Powerful. Maybe not though - James Franco plays Oz, and I'm not a fan of his (James Franco - not Oz!). It did get good reviews on RottenTomatoes though. Argh! I don't know!!!
