*~*~*~*~*
I am sitting here at work, sipping on my last caffeinated beverage. Tomorrow starts Caffeine-free sodas only, and when I run out of Caffeine-Free Coke sometime next week, I am ending my years long affair with Coca~Cola, and soda in general. For my weight loss, and my teeth, I need to stop drinking what is essentially sugared acid. Luckily, I am able to "trick' myself into drinking lots of water by filling my (reused) 7-11 Big Gulp cup with ice, and drinking my water through a straw. I don't know how that makes me feel like I'm drinking something fizzy, but it works.
Spring will be here in a few short weeks, and hopefully that will mean (continued) warm weather, and walks on lunch. I already try to park far away from where I need to be, so that I force myself to walk a little more, but it's time to up that too. My plan is to ride our stationery bike for 20 - 30 minutes a day, Monday - Friday, and take a short walk on lunch during the week, to add some more exercise, and strength training for my knees. (They currently sound like Rice Krispies when I bend them. They Snap! Krackle! and Pop! - not pretty!).
I've already talked about getting healthier by visiting doctors, and I plan to continue with that. I certainly don't like forking over the money for co-pays, but I need to be healthy. I'm tired of being tired, and feeling like refried death every day. Something's got to give.
Good for you for going Caffeine Free...& completely sodaless! I am so proud!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous you have a stationary bike...I was looking into getting one for the house, when I thought we a tax refund coming our way.
