"A man's health can be judged by which he takes two at a time - pills or stairs.” ~Joan Welsh

I go to the see Dr. Pulm today but first I have a PFT scheduled. I'm not excited about it, and have thought about rescheduling, but I can't. It'll be _months_ before I am able to get in again (work obligations in the next few months). I hate the PFT test, but Dr. Pulm wants me to have it done so that he can accurately treat my asthma.

I have the CD of my CT Scan results, and I have no idea what they show (I looked at them. _smirk_). My next appointment with Dr. ENT isn't until April 11th, so I don't know what that will yield. I hope it's something good though - meaning that I hope it shows something and that it's treatable.

Sawyer & I started our diets on Monday. We're using MyFitnessPal (we mostly use the app on our phones). I've exercised for (an average of) 20 minutes a day so far this week. I'm aiming for loosing a pound a week for now, and might try to up that soon. I haven't had any luck cutting out Coke yet, mostly because I have the calories to have it. I should cut back though, and I hope to next week. I plan to just have a can a day. That's not too bad. _smirk_ I'm also drinking some Diet Barq's Root Beer since it's zero calories. It tastes a little "off" but isn't bad. I can't drink Diet Coke because I can't stand the taste, and it gives me a headache. I am trying to get fountain sodas because I can load it up with ice (water) and less actual Coke. I'm such a tricksy hobbit.

This diet is also making me take a hard look at whether I'm hungry or just bored or thirsty. I'm also letting myself be hungry for a bit instead of immediately stuffing my face full of food. It's hard to not just eat to keep myself busy, but I know it's a good thing. It's taking some willpower I didn't know I had, but it's good. I also found a way to exercise for a longer time without getting bored and slowing down...Netflix on my phone. I may invest in a small DVD player that I can take downstairs with me to ride bike (and one that I can have in the kitchen with me while I bake/clean/wash dishes).

Speaking of Hobbits... I can't wait for the movie. It's got Arthur Dent as Bilbo! God - I'm such a nerd! _smirk_ I'm such a nerd that I downloaded an app for my phone that lets me have lightsaber battles with Sawyer. (I started this post yesterday, and I showed Sawyer the app for the lightsabers, but he wasn't interested. _pout_)

The other day I was talking with B (the coworker I've had issues with in the past) told me that she's coming back to work "full time" in April, and that she Skype's with the kids because she misses them so much (_gag_). I asked her how she can do that since our Internet is on lock down and she said she uses the wifi from a company we share a building with. I asked for the password, and she said "Don't spoil it for everyone!". WTF?! She can't be away from the kids for "8 hours a day" (she _never_ works a full 8 hour shift)? There are _MILLIONS_ of mom's out there that leave their kids every day and they don't bitch about it! She acts like she didn't have 3 YEARS home with them - "working" "part-time" from home. (eye roll) How privileged and entitled can you get? (Also - I'm using SO MUCH wifi hoping to "ruin it for everyone else". LMAO!)

  1. I am going to check out my fitness pal. I LOVE Netflix on my phone! What do you watch?

Good luck with your dr's visits!

Wow! B doesn't relax how lucky she was for the past 3 years.....
