"I never have taken a picture I've intended. They're always better or worse." ~Diane Arbus

Yesterday was the outing with the Photography Group I'm a member of. It was ok. I was glad to be at the Aquarium, but I didn't really enjoy myself to the fullest because of one of the other group member's, and the other patrons of the Aquarium. I was pooped on by a bird, and by the end was about .19 seconds from throwing someone in the damn piranha tank (the sharks are enclosed, but the piranha tank is open). When I was trying to get a picture of the Chambered Nautilus (which an idiot mispronounced as Shambered) the people behind me kept rudely saying "It says NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY". If they had known ANYTHING about DSLR's they'd have known that my camera was AUTO-FOCUSING and the flash wasn't freaking ON! I can read - I can also use my camera and turn off the damn flash.

The member that really had me annoyed just wouldn't stop complaining about SOMETHING all day. At one point she said something about hating the "fishy smell" of the Aquarium. It's a BUILDING FULL OF FISH! What do you EXPECT it to smell like?! Then, when we were discussing where to go for lunch she said she wanted to go somewhere with vegetarian options and then proceeds to order a pulled pork sandwich at the HRC. Pork is not vegetarian! Sheesh! She really became too much for me to handle anymore. She's at all the group outings, so I might just quit the group. I tried to keep my distance from her, and just enjoy the Aquarium, but it was hard. My camera was also being a PITA, but that was more because I don't have fast lenses, and less about the actual camera.

I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted, but the ones I did get were edited to look like good shots. I just don't have the equipment for photography in that sort of situation, and I'm not spending GOBS of money to get the best equipment for that. I am best at outdoor photography, and so I'll expend money and energy to get better at that, and just stick with what I know / am good at.

I didn't get nearly enough done this weekend. Sawyer and I ended up spending most of the day Saturday at the mall buying new cellphones. We love what we got for the most part, but they have their downsides (battery life is a day at best). They came with Angry Birds though, and now we're both addicted to that. It's nice to be able to text Sawyer again.

I am so sore from all the walking I did yesterday. In fact, I was thinking of staying home today. I didn't but I really wanted to. The time change has really thrown me for a loop. I also wanted to stay home today because I didn't get enough done this weekend, and I know it won't get done in the evenings.
