Friday Four - November 13, 2015

Friday Four
A collection of 4 things that have been on my mind lately.

1.) Black Friday
I'm not sure what my plan is for Black Friday this year. We're normally in The Keystone State with family for Thanksgiving, and I normally go out shopping around 4am on Black Friday. I'm not sure what to do this year because my pain level has been quite high lately, but I can't imagine not going out at all. I actually enjoy shopping on Black Friday (I know that sounds crazy). It's the kick off to the Christmas Season for me. It's also a chance for me to get to stores alone - during the rest of the year Sawyer & I run errands together. I don't know who I'm kidding - I'll probably go shopping. I also usually meet Best Friend C for lunch - I won't miss that!

2.) 2016 Photo Album
I'm _fairly_ caught up with our 2016 photo album. I still have to edit and upload vacation and Shenandoah leaf peeping pictures before I can print them. I keep thinking "I'll get to that this weekend" and then I never do. I'm hoping that I can work on editing in the evenings and get it done. I want to be able to show my Mother-in-Law our vacation pictures at Thanksgiving.

3.) Addresses
I only need one more address in order to get our Christmas cards ready to mail. I'm relying on FaceBook to get that address, so I'm not to hopeful I'll have it soon. I really want to get addresses printed soon because I want to use the same labels for some Thanksgiving cards I'm sending out. We'll see how it goes.

4.) The "R" Word
I'm so tired of people using the "R" word like it's no big deal. Nobody should be using that word, just like nobody should be using the "N" word (except, of course, those who have the right to use it because of the history of the word), just like people shouldn't be wearing Native American dress for Halloween. How is it 2015 and people are still going around using these words, wearing these pieces of someone's history without second thought? I just don't understand it. Do some research. Listen when people speak. If a person is telling you something is offensive to them, then take that in, and learn from it. Be like the Sword of Griffyndor - take in what makes you stronger, and leave the rest behind.

Jack What?
(How I'm feeling lately - glad that I don't have access to an ax)
