“We must embrace pain and burn it as fuel for our journey.” Kenji Miyazawa

Yesterday I saw my newest specialist - my Rheumatologist. I saw her on the recommendation of my Neurologist - hoping that perhaps my extreme joint pain, and all of my other unexplained pain (remember the chest pain that was unexplained?) could be explained. Well, it was, and it wasn't. She couldn't / wouldn't diagnose me with anything, but her treatment plan was based on a Myalgia disorder. I'm actually ok with that as there _is_ a treatment plan, and she gave me lots of ideas, and tips.

The tips and ideas include: losing weight (which will be hard, but she said it _may_ help my current pain, but it will _definitely_ help to prevent future arthritis), taking a muscle relaxer before bed on bad days, talking to my psychiatrist about trying one of the 3 antidepressants that are also FDA approved for Fibromyalgia treatment, and taking 2 Tylenol Extra Strength 3x per day with food. She said that if I'm still having a lot of pain after losing the weight, and if the pain medicine / muscle relaxer / antidepressants don't work to come back.

We'll see what happens, I guess.
